This time round, not only can they boast a newly re-shuffled line-up, they’ve also drafted in Red Hot Chili Peppers producer Andrew Scheps, and Smashing Pumpkins mix maestro Alan Moulder, to add studio polish to their dirty rock n roll. The result? A significantly leaner and meaner sound, characterised by filthy bass lines, thumping beats, scuzzy guitars and the utterly defiant, husky howl of everyone’s favourite indie pin-up, Liela Moss. And with infectious hooks aplenty, Bruiser finds the five-piece on prize-fighting form.
